You can actually divide humanity into three groups: those who love to clean, people who like to clean up, and people who really hate both. But if you have a beautiful interior – which we naturally assume – it is such a shame to let it devour. Whichever group you belong to, we are sure that you can use these easy cleaning tips. You probably already have the supplies in the kitchen!
With these tips you can become a real cleaning king or queen in a smart way. Read at Cleanhomeguide.com to know more cleaning tips and tricks.
1. The bathtub
With a little hydrogen peroxide, your bathtub will be like new again! Pour some hydrogen peroxide into a spray bottle or plant sprayer – you can dilute it with water if necessary – and spray the liquid on the surface. Leave it in for an hour and then rinse the bathtub with warm water. Lime and other discolorations will disappear – or at least a lot less.
You can also use citric acid. This will mainly remove yellow discolorations. Mix the citric acid with a little lukewarm water and pat it on the discolorations with a sponge. Leave it on for twenty to 30 minutes and then rinse the mixture with warm water.
2. Natural Air Freshener
A nice house also needs a nice scent! Mix two cups of water, a tablespoon of baking soda and ten to twenty drops of essential oil and pour the mixture into a spray bottle. Just spray and your house will smell wonderfully fresh again!
3. The washing machine
Cleaning the washing machine sometimes gets worse. And actually, a cooking wash is not always enough. But we also have a trick for this! Mix a cup of water with some baking soda and pour the mixture into the compartment where you normally put your detergent. Then pour a little vinegar into the drum and let the washing machine run with a normal washing program. When ‘the wash’ is ready, wipe the drum clean with a cloth. Focus primarily on the rubbers, because there may be a lot of dirt behind this. Leave the door of the machine open for a while so that it can dry and air well.
4. The joints between the tiles
Cleaning the joints between tiles in the bathroom or kitchen is often a time-consuming task. But when they are nice and clean again, the space looks like new again. Sprinkle some baking soda in a bowl and moisten an old toothbrush. Dip the toothbrush into the baking soda and wipe the hair over the joints. This is how you use the baking soda as an abrasive!
Paraffin is a good way to protect the joints after cleaning. Rub the bottom of a (white) dinner candle over the joints and protect the surface against dirt and deposits.
5. Glossy tiles
Vinegar is the best remedy for dull tiles. Pour some vinegar into a spray bottle and spray the liquid generously over the surface. After ten minutes, rinse the tiles with water and dry with a microfiber cloth.
6. A clean and shiny stove
Cleaning the stove is not the nicest job. But with a lemon you can go a long way. Cut two lemons in half and squeeze the juice into a small bowl. Rub the juice over the stove with a cloth and let it absorb. Then you wipe the stove with a damp cloth and voila, a shiny stove!
7. A fresh mattress
Baking soda remains the best cleaning agent, it shows again. You can also freshen up your mattress with this. Sprinkle the baking soda generously over the mattress, leave it for a while and then suck it up with the vacuum cleaner. With this you not only refresh the mattress, but also the vacuum cleaner! Win win. This trick can also be used with carpets and rugs and is extra nice in a household with pets.
