Whether we like it or not, our children see our behavior and often start to imitate us. Do you want them to imitate you? Do you think you are a good role model for them in all areas?

Role Model For Your Kids

We all want the best for our children. There are things we can do that may help them overcome obstacles in the future. Try these ideas and see how much fun you can have together.

We mothers are role models for our children. Our kids learn from us every minute. When you favor nutritious foods, good nutrition becomes your child’s expectation. When you choose to go for a walk, exercise, or biking instead of watching television, your child gets the movement and fitness message.

A child needs positive influences when they’re young. The ages between 4 – 12 is when their self-esteem is most fragile. They need constant positive reinforcements during this time. If they don’t get it, they could go into adulthood with deep set emotional and psychological problems.

Being a positive role model for a child helps them develop into confident and well-adjusted adults. Adults with high self-esteem and self-worth contribute in positive ways to society, and life in general. What good parent wouldn’t want that for their child?

Showing your child love and respect, listening to them and making positive comments will certainly help them. Trying to control your child with hurtful, negative and critical comments will do more harm than good.

You will be amazed at the difference it makes in your life and in your child’s life.
