Did not only, I love interior decorating, but I loved the art of design. I love going back into the Design, looking for inspiration and revisiting homes
Now I know better.
because of course, I had visions of what the room was ‘supposed’ to be,
White walls are given relief with the gorgeous color combinations, transform their spaces. Created the wall of art with pieces your thrifted, pieces you created and a few pieces purchased new.
Each room has its own personality and color palette and the whole house has a stunning balance and modern. I’m also very fond of mixing color and pattern, so I guess in the end, what we wanted was a collected and colorful home that felt both pulled-together and inviting,”
This looks like a blog, right?
It’s actually an idea factory.
Sometimes when I’m starting on a project started as to go neutral. My love for bold, unexpected color thankfully won out. blue and pink in the room are beautifully complemented by the more neutral.
From the mantel in the living room to the can arrangement in the kitchen, it has always been one of my favorites.
Our big, beautiful kitchen table fits perfectly and is very much the center of a home. We eat here most evenings together, share stories and wine with friends while dinner is being prepared in the open-plan kitchen living space up by removing a wall between the dining room and kitchen.
I know what you’re thinking.
Are you ready for some Living Room ideas?
Do you have a living room where it seems impossible to place a sofa? it seems that even in large homes the formal living room is getting smaller. Many of them are designed so that all four sides of the room have either an entrance, a window, making all options poor placement for a sofa.
The good news is when guests come over, most people seem to prefer sitting in a single chair? This classic arrangement of four armchairs placed on the diagonal around a circular coffee table is one of my favorites. I’ve recommended it many times to clients who have difficult living rooms but find that people are often afraid to try it.
If you decide to go with four chairs, they don’t all have to match. Changing up the style of chair and fabric adds flair to this grouping. Also, the square cocktail table turned on the diagonal works well with these four luxuriously proportioned chairs.
What does your living room actually say about you?
It’s not too hard to understand some basics of a person’s lifestyle by looking at a room. Like fashion, that’s because most of us want our houses to say something about us. so because decorating is a form of self-expression. It projects our moods and values and interests.
If you prefer the sleek look, don’t think you need to go with a rustic theme to add texture. Choose furniture. Clear surfaces look great. Embrace nature’s softer side. Look for chunky woven fabrics for furniture and throw pillows, grass cloth or natural-fiber carpets – making a conversation more relaxed.
Throw in some curves for inclusiveness and comfort. Natural materials like wood will also add warmth and a comfort to your space.
Your living room is not as inviting as you’d like?
There are several simple ways to make it feel more like a room you actually. Be honest about what is used in this room and make space for it.
Don’t make the TV your full-time focal point. Televisions can deter conversation. Don’t let your TV take away your valuable social connections, whether that’s talking to your significant other, kids or friends you’re entertaining.
Flexibility in your lighting. in multiple layers, while adding style, drapery panes over shades for maximum light adjustment in your living room will make it more pleasant to use at different times of the day, as well as for various activities.
Add a dimmer to overhead lights and make sure you have plenty of table lamps near seating groups. Your mix could include table lamps, floor lamps, overhead fixtures,
Wall gallery. Turn your living room into a showcase. Display artwork wall to wall for interesting conversations.
